ZebraScapes Landscape is seeking a dependable, hardworking Yard & Equipment Operator with basic mechanical experience to help keep our fleet, equipment, and yard operating efficiently. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, staying organized, and performing minor repairs and preventative maintenance on landscape equipment and vehicles.
Responsibilities
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and shop area
Operate skid steers, loaders, forklifts, trailers, and other yard equipment safely
Load and unload materials, equipment, and supplies
Fuel, clean, inspect, and stage equipment for daily operations
Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, greasing, filter replacement, blade changes, and minor repairs
Diagnose and report equipment issues before they become major problems
Assist mechanics with repairs on trucks, trailers, mowers, and landscape equipment
Track equipment hours, maintenance schedules, and inventory
Organize tools, parts, and supplies
Assist crews with deliveries, pickups, and jobsite support as needed
Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a professional attitude
Qualifications
Experience operating landscape or construction equipment preferred
Basic mechanical knowledge of small engines, mowers, trucks, trailers, and hydraulic equipment
Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions
Self-motivated, dependable, and organized
Forklift experience is a plus
CDL is a plus but not required
