Here is a seldomn seen 1984 Ibanez DB700, otherwise known as a Destroyer Bass. These were made only between 1984-1985 in this style. As you can see this is the red version and it's very red. These being Made in Japan makes them excellent playing instruments, quality made at a time when Japan was making the best stuff. This bass is totally original and all electronics work as intended. The finish is a bit beat up, dings and chips but it's purely cosmetic damage that comes with 42 years of play wear. The neck is in great shape. The frets were just polished and they have barely any wear to them. The neck is straight and the truss easily adjusts. The back of the neck is clean, the headstock has some chips around it but the logo remains vibrant. The rosewood fretboard has great grain and was just oiled. Ibanez used some great hardware in this period and the original Ibanez "smooth" tuners are very nice, same with the accucast bridge. The pickups are stock J5 and J6 pickups - they sound great. The original pots and wiring looks quality and clean, they were sprayed out with Deoxit D5 to insure they keep working well. The body finish has just been given a polish with music nomad products, has plenty of shine. You'll notice that all corners have chips to some degree, thats the nature with pointy guitars that have been around awhile.
I have no case for it. Price is firm, you won't find one of these cheaper.
