Vintage Slingerland Legion Heir Parade Snare, model 574. Drum was purchased for me by my parents in 1957 when I was 10 so I could play in the High School Marching Band. Drum has the original 68 year old Slingerland Calf heads which are very rare! The shell is mahogany. 8 single-tensioner center-support rods with key. 14” diameter x 10” deep. The Slingerland catalog lists this as “the most popular junior drum being used today, built along professional lines”. It is fairly light for it’s size. This 1957 Slingerland Parade snare came with sticks and a strap, which are included. Drum also includes a leg rest which was add to the purchase. The drum was played 57 to 59 then stored.
