We are seeking a responsible and safety-oriented Traffic Control Technician to conduct flagging operations and set up, manage, and remove traffic control devices at construction zones, road work sites, and other locations. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the safety of workers, pedestrians, and motorists.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct and control traffic flow using stop/slow paddles or hand signals.
• Set up and remove traffic control devices such as signs, cones, barricades, and flagging equipment.
• Maintain constant awareness of surroundings to ensure safety for self and others.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and the general public.
• Load and unload traffic control equipment from company vehicles.
• Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Work in varying weather conditions and environments.
Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL a plus) / ability to pass a drug test
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Dependability and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in traffic control, flagging, or construction labor.
• Familiarity with MUTCD guidelines and state/local traffic laws.
• ATSSA Traffic Control Technician Certification.
