A low-cost training session for your K-9 friend to stay clear of snakes, especially rattlesnakes. This course increases the odds of saving your dog's life or costly veterinarian bills. A rattlesnake bite can cost as much or more than $2,300 (I know from experience). This is one of the reasons I started this service, to help others protect their K-9 friend and family member.
Dates: Saturday, May 16th and Sunday the 17th. Call or text Denise to schedule time slot.
The class is for all breeds. A short training training session using humane, safe methods will have your dog responding and avoiding snakes by the end of the training session or your money back!
What the class entails: your dog will be taken through a course of several scenarios of exposure to live snake encounters, utilizing their senses of scent, sight, and sound. This gives them a better chance of awareness and survival if they have a wild encounter with a rattlesnake.
Class is safe for dogs, handlers, and snakes. No animal is abused or treated roughly. I have trained dogs for the field since 1988. Note: Although training can reduce the chances of a snake bite there can be the off-chance it can still occur, the responsibility remains with the owner.
Some dogs need a refresher course the following season, although there has been no need as of this date.
Cost: $120 for first dog. $10 discount for each additional dog. Additional times may be available.
