These are *CLEAN* / FOOD GRADE safe, plastic or steel barrels with open tops / removable - replaceable lids / weatherproof seals / locking compression rings. The lid has a silicone weather stripping seal, it is airtight and waterproof. The interior of the drum is coated with a 2-part epoxy to prevent any oxidation (rust) of the metal. They originally held coconut oil. They are **FOOD GRADE** safe for people food storage, chicken feed, horse pellets, dog food, etc...
These are also used as international shipping containers, and hazzardous waste disposal barrel.

I have these type of drums available in both plastic and steel. I recommend steel if you struggle to defend your animal feed from rodents.
I also have less expensive 'CLOSED HEAD' FOOD GRADE barrels if you don't need removable - replaceable lids.
