Klipsch iFi 2.1-channels desktop computer speakers system. This high-quality, powered speaker system includes two Klipsch RSX-3 reference satellite 2-way speakers, an 8-inch long-throw Klipsch subwoofer, an iFi control dock with all 5 dock adapters, the iFi battery-operated RF remote control (with fresh battery installed), speaker cables, and AC power cord. I purchased this Klipsch speaker system new and have used it in my personal home desktop computer system. The system is in excellent condition, has been fully tested, operates properly, and sounds wonderful.
The system comes complete with its original box and packaging, user manual, and all supplied accessories. The subwoofer enclosure has a 3.5mm stereo audio plug input for connecting to an analog stereo audio output from a tablet (iPad), a desktop or laptop computer, or any digital music player with an analog stereo audio output. The supplied iFi control dock connects to the subwoofer enclosure and provides separate volume control for the speakers and for the subwoofer as well as can act as a docking station for various models of the Apple iPod music player.
Each RSX-3 satellite is a passive, two-way, magnetically-shielded speaker that employs a 3.5-inch aluminum midrange/woofer and a 0.75-inch titanium dome compression tweeter. These reference satellite monitors measure 8.75” high x 4.75” wide x 5.5” deep and weigh over 4 pounds each. The satellites attach to their stands via a ball joint that allows them to be swiveled and positioned over a wide range.
The 8-inch subwoofer, designed specifically for the iFi system, has a long-throw driver equipped with a lightweight Cerametallic cone with excellent rigidity. The subwoofer measures 14.5” deep x 10.5” wide x 11.5” high. The sub enclosure has a built-in Class D amplifier that distributes 200 watts of peak system power to competently drive all the channels. The subwoofer also features a slot port to achieve a low-frequency sound character typically found in much larger subs.
The Klipsch iFi 2.1-channels speaker system is a high-quality desktop computer speaker system whose original list price was $400. Based on several online product reviews, the Klipsch iFi 2.1 speaker system is superior to the current Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX system, which has a smaller 6.5” (vs 8”) subwoofer and smaller satellite speakers with 3.0” (vs 3.5”) midrange drivers. The Klipsch iFi system also sounds better than any of the current Logitech 2.1 speaker systems.
Since the Klipsch iFi system is no longer being made, here is your chance to buy a high-quality vintage Klipsch 2.1 speaker system to connect to your computer or use as part of a home music playback rig producing sound that competes with comparable Bose, Denon, JBL, JVC, Kenwood, Logitech, Marantz, Pioneer, Polk, Onkyo, Sansui, Sonos, Sony, or Technics systems.
