The last photo shows the bottom weight, which was made by Woodruff & Edwards, of Elgin, Ill., a company begun in 1867 that is known for making coffee mills. I've seen a lamp made from one of their mills, but am unsure whether they made just the weight, or the entire lamp.
A gorgeous, genie bottle style lamp, in very good condition. There is some tarnish on the metal surfaces, most noticeable on the harp, and a few spots if discoloration on the wood finish, mostly near the top.
It's solid wood, including the base.
There are no cracks or gouges in the wood.
The plug and cord look very good, and the lamp works great. It can accept a 3-way bulb.
Everything seems original, including the harp and finial.
I have a few shades to choose from, but no longer have the one in the photograph.
Approximate dimensions:
30.5" to the top of the wood
35" to the top of the socket
43" to the top of the harp
8" diameter base
The main lamp body goes from around 2" to 6" in diameter
