There's not too many of these bikes around anymore. If you're familiar with Autobike, their bicycles change gears for you. This is more of a collectors piece.
This is an Autobike Classic Ladies bicycle (stepthrough frame).
Never shift again!
As seen on TV over a decade ago, this bike shifts by itself based on the speed of the rear wheel. There are 3 weights that move to the rim using centrifugal force. This pushes the derailleur that moves the chain onto different cogs.
The shifting does work though. The brakes work well. Overall, nice shape, but in need of a tune-up.
Color purple entwined with purple.
Bicycle is 40 inches from the very back of the frame where the center part of the rear axle on the back wheel is and going diagonally to the frame that comes down from the handlebars.
Bicycle is 20 and a half inches from the center of the crank to the bottom of the seat where the metal ends on the frame.
Bicycle from the ground to the seat itself before the seat is adjusted is 35 inches.
This bicycle has a steel frame and fork, aluminum rims and a very comfortable Schwinn Air Cushioned saddle.
In nice condition, works fine and as stated the bike just needs a little TLC.
